About Us

The idea for Farm to Wick originated on a girl’s weekend getaway trip where two long-time friends, Alice and Amy, stopped into a tiny candle shop and created their first candle. Coming out of a crazy year of COVID-19 in 2020, they both thought their candle making adventure would be the perfect experience to bring back to their respective hometowns. Farm to Wick was created with the idea of bringing people together.  Alice and Amy strongly believe in delivering a unique experience where families, friends and co-workers can join in an artistic adventure creating a one-of-a-kind candle.

Farm to Wick is based in rural Stanford, women-owned and operated. Alice lives in the country with her husband, where they raised their two children, and many dogs. They are third generation farmers raising corn and soybeans. They are passionate about supporting local businesses and farmers. When Alice isn’t making candles, she enjoys boating and camping.

Amy lives in a small rural town with her husband and her two college aged sons. She works in the agricultural industry ensuring local farmers receive the seed to plant on their farms. Amy enjoys spending time with her family, camping and being involved in her local church. Co-owning a candle business goes right along with her mantra of “letting your light shine.”

Our candles at Farm to Wick are made of soy wax produced in the Midwest. Our soy wax is all-natural, clean-burning, and has a 40-60 hour burn time. Our premium scents are made from natural essences and are immensely fragrant, while our braided cotton wicks are self-trimming and designed to promote a consistent burning flame.

The Farm to Wick experience allows you to host parties for birthdays, bridal events, youth group gatherings, book clubs, girls’ night out, bachelorette parties, retreats, baby showers and other celebrations. We cater to team building events from small businesses to large corporations, as well as, create custom work for wedding/bridal favors, company branding products, special events, baby shower favors, and various fundraising events.

Farm to Wick also has a retail line of candles that may be purchased. All candles are hand-poured and hand-crafted to make for a unique gift or centerpiece in your home.
